Bold Color - Tom Lloyd

Moussakoo, 1968 by Tom Lloyd - Aluminum, lightbulbs and plastic laminate. Tom Lloyd's sculptures embrace abstraction through light and color. He was interested in how electric lights were used to communicate with daily life, such as traffic signals and theatre marquees. He felt strongly that art should take advantage of new technology in order to stay innovative and contemporary. Photographed at the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, SC. http://www.gibbesmuseum.org/
