Deconstructed

Can we break apart our image of how something should be constructed and look at objects with new eyes when created in a new way? When materials are folded, patched, broken or offset it plays with how our minds think things "should" be. Mix in patterns and textures and you really have something new and beautiful. Deconstructed fashion is not new, but this season we are seeing some creative experimentation with prints, materials and proportions. Beauty in the falling apart, the mixed and the unmatched, the big versus the small. When fashion and interiors go too far into the traditional the new luxury is in the oddity.
