Color Palette - Unnatural
While I was in Miami last year, I saw an amazing show at the Bass Museum of Art. It was called "Unnatural" and showcased artists that tested the concept of nature in our hyper technological age. What is real and what is not. The photograph above is taken form a large scale video from the show. The artist's name is Yehudit Sasportas and the image is of a dream like swamp with falling geometric shapes. The video had a twilight zone kind of feel and I was especially taken with the colors that moved across the screen from dark to bright. Almost acid like, they popped against the sharp black background of trees. This same look can be seen in the design world today. Bold black against bright hues.
