Design Focus: Boardwalk

Boardwalk is one our newest designs for Lanark and was inspired by a time period long gone by. The vintage Boardwalk was full of theatre and pure fun. It was where people went to escape their troubles. I was inspired by this time period and by the art deco motifs of the 1920’s. In creating Boardwalk I wanted to design a new type of multi colored stripe. One that subtly blends together classic decorative motifs with a natural handmade finish. I foresee the Art deco movement to make a strong comeback in the next few years. Already the triangle shape can be found in jewelry, fashion and home markets. Boardwalk reflects that coming trend and is a unique design in the wall-covering world.
