Indigo and White

The combination of indigo blue and ivory white is a classic color combination that is becoming popular again with designers. Japanese in tradition this indigo block print style has been updated with ethnic and traditional design motifs. The effect is both crisp and soothing at the same time. Very inspiring. 1. Hi Kathy,

Do you know when the Taksim Indigo rug would be available at West Elm? I called the store and they told me this item didn't exist.
    Thanks!!

  2. Patricia,

I think the rug was a design from a few seasons ago eventhough I still see it popping up in room shots quite often. I wish they still sold it too. It is a classic look.

  3. Hi Kathy,

What color would you recommend for the wall when the quilt and pillows are indigo and white?
    Thanks, Fran

  4. Fran,

My first instinct would be to go with a robin's egg blue shade. That would be bold and edgy. Very Caribbean/tropical. My more rational side says to go with a rich chocolate brown; pick something that is not too dark or it will clash with the deep navy blue.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for visiting the blog!
