China Blue

Some people think trends work in stages of hierarchy. First they are introduced to the high end markets then the trend filters down to the mass market. Well, the internet has done on number on that idea. Here is an example. The China blue or blue porcelain trend has been seen on the Spring 2011 runway and in retail stores at the same time. You can either buy a Rodarte couture skirt or a toothbrush holder from Target's Blue Ink collection. Your choice. It is refreshing and fun to be a designer seeing trends and knowing others do too. Whatever their level or status of product they create.
