Memphis Gouache

What is a good indicator of a future trend or vision? To me, it would have to be the work of current working artists and the images they create. All designers feed off the culture around them, and I do the same as a designer.  The images above are from the recent Georgia O'Keefe show at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, NC. The matte pastel pieces, in multicolored hues, are done by Matthew Ronay and are called Thermal Organ Apparatus. The painting is by Pearl C Hsiung. Both evoke a muted play-fullness reminiscent of children's art and silliness.
