I designed the Rio texture by hand carving small divits into soft encaustic wax. This random patterning resulted in a design that resembles carved wood, or any other naturally layered texture with an earthy feel. Vertically stratified with a contemporary take, the look is both bohemian and luxe. Inspired from our wild and beautiful planet, and colors are influenced by the cultural city of Rio Janeiro. Enjoy our newest Lanark design, it is elegantly dramatic and naturally lush. My inspiration board from left to right: Rio in the color Banana Tree L2-RO-17; Wood Light Sculpture by Split Grain; Yellow Rattleshaker flower from the Brazilian rain forest; Chloe Fall Winter runway 2014; Uncino carved wood chairs by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Mattiazzi Milan 2014; Mango Tree bracelet; Fencepost vase made of Buck thorn wood by Timber Turner; Cat Table by Ruan Hao; Rings by Lydia Marcos; Carved wood sculpture by Mae Fah Luang; Tables by Miniforms.
