Blue Buildngs - Color Palette

Blue, Blue, Blue. Over the past few years we have been seeing so many shades of blue it is hard to come up with a new one. This isn't really a new blue, just a new approach. Layers of blue, blending and transforming into one another to create a sense of depth. Sheer or painterly, matte or clear, all these blues play well with one another. I felt this trend could be summarized in one image, the top left photo. I photographed these blue buildings a few years ago while in New Orleans. Deep and layered, the blues are bold and intense without having to say much at all.
