Design Focus: Milan

Milan is a design I created to highlight the fine threads of a hand woven silk crepe. It all started with a small piece of fabric I found in the Paris textile district. I loved it and wanted to try and recreate it as a wall covering. After many painted versions I was able to capture the desired effect and highlighted it with a pearlized horizontal emboss. The final design is natural and very couture. A vertical layered stripe with soft edges, Milan is a nod to the fashions seen on the runways of Italy, inspired by Paris.
