Color Focus: Buttercup

The yellow trend we saw last Spring has continued into this season's collections both on the runway and in the stores. Last year's yellow had an acid cast and was very, very bright. This spring, designers kept the brightness but toned down the acid level a little bit. How to use it? Well, this "buttercup" shade works great when paired with black, taupes and greys. This sporty yet sophisticated color combination makes the yellow useable with a very subtle punkish edge that brings a smile to your face.
