Morocco

Moroccan embroidery and patterns have never really been out of style, but in the past year we have been seeing this decorative look more and more in the interiors world. With the release of Sex and the City 2 (showcasing the trend towards exotic escapism) and a turn towards consumers wanting to buy more beautiful hand crafted items that last a lifetime, the rich ornamental culture of Morocco is a perfect match. In contrast to the usual lanterns and rugs you would find in any import shop, I wanted to focus on items that provide a modern twist on this ornate culture.
